Meals, Food,
and Feast
Mountain MayFest
is pleased to offer a meal plan available for purchase for our guests. The meal
plan offers foods for both vegetarians (non-vegan) and omnivores. The meal plan
is available for both adult and children (under 16) rates. Meals are held in
the dining hall as follows:
Thursday, Dinner (6:00 PM)
Friday, Brunch (11:00 AM)
Friday, Dinner (6:00 PM)
Saturday, Brunch (11:00 AM)
Sunday, Brunch (11:00 AM)
Meal plans are
priced at a flat rate that includes all of those meals. Please note, if you
miss a meal or are arriving late, you will not be reimbursed for the cost of
meals that you miss.
Meals are prepared
by the location site staff and often include fresh locally grown produce and
other well-prepared entrees and side dishes. Tea and coffee are also provided
at the meals.
For Saturday
dinner, all MayFest attendees are encouraged to participate in the Community
Feast, a potluck dinner and time for fellowship. Please bring something for
yourself or your group to share with the community.
In addition,
Saturday's daytime ritual schedule includes the preparation of the Mulligan
Stew for serving during the Community Feast. Each attendee should bring one cup
of ingredient (vegetables, meat, etc.) or 1 tsp. of spices to include in the
stew. Please check your festival schedule for the time of the collection of
stew ingredients.
As this is a
magickal working, please think carefully about what you choose to bring. Bring
something that energetically represents a blessing that you wish to encourage
in the community for the upcoming year.
To honor the dietary needs of some of our participants, both a
vegetarian and a non-vegetarian stew will be created from the contributions of
the MayFest community.
For those guests
choosing to cook their own meals during the weekend, please note that there are
no open campfires allowed in camping areas, nor is food cooking over the ritual
fires permitted. Camp stoves, grills, or other controlled cook spaces are
permitted, however please do not leave your cooking unattended. Also, kitchen
facilities are reserved for staff only.
